Porsche and Smeg Unite for a Design-Driven Collaboration Inspired by Motorsport Heritage

Stuttgart/Guastalla – Porsche and Smeg have announced a new design collaboration that bridges the gap between automotive performance and home luxury. The partnership brings together two design icons—Porsche, synonymous with engineering precision and motorsport success, and Smeg, celebrated for its Italian craftsmanship and retro-modern aesthetic—to create a limited-edition collection of kitchen appliances that fuse performance, style, and emotion.

A Meeting of Design Legacies

The Porsche x Smeg collection embodies both brands’ shared passion for timeless design and meticulous engineering. “At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared philosophy: to craft objects that are not only functional but also emotionally resonant,” said Stefan Büscher, CEO of Porsche Lifestyle Group. Inspired by Le Mans Glory

At the core of the collaboration is a tribute to one of Porsche’s most historic motorsport moments: the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans. The limited-edition 917 Salzburg series takes its inspiration from the Porsche 917 KH that delivered the brand’s first overall Le Mans victory. The collection includes a red FAB28 fridge and matching bean-to-cup coffee machine, both finished in “917 Salzburg Red” with racing stripes and the number 23 livery. Each item is individually numbered—1,970 units in total—to commemorate the year of the win.

Expanding the Collection

Beyond the Salzburg editions, Porsche and Smeg are offering two exclusive color series—Carrara White Metallic and Shade Green Metallic—finished with matte black detailing and subtle Porsche striping. The lineup includes the FAB28 refrigerator, toaster, kettle, and blender, each designed with proportions and tactile details inspired by Porsche’s signature minimalism.

Functional Luxury in Every Detail

The Fridge – Porsche x Smeg blends form and function with Porsche-inspired handles and dark interior profiles echoing the brand’s refined cabin finishes.
The Toaster – Porsche x Smeg features six browning levels and a numbered control knob, combining retro styling with precise functionality.
The Kettle – Porsche x Smeg pairs the 1950s aesthetic with modern performance, featuring a 1.7-liter capacity and soft-opening lid.
The Blender – Porsche x Smeg offers multiple speeds and pre-set programs, including smoothie and ice-crush modes, presented in Porsche’s signature colorways.
