Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale Adds Chassis Revisions and Distinct Trim Specification

Ferrari has introduced a new Handling Speciale configuration for the Ferrari Purosangue, combining targeted chassis updates with a defined set of visual and material changes.

Offered as an on-request specification, the package retains the Purosangue’s core architecture—front-mid-mounted naturally aspirated V12, rear transaxle and four-seat layout—while layering in both dynamic and trim-focused revisions.

Chassis Calibration and Driving Response

The primary mechanical update is a recalibrated active suspension system, reducing body movement by approximately 10 percent. The change is intended to deliver a more controlled feel through corners and quicker response to steering inputs.

Transmission behavior has also been revised. Shift strategies in Race and ESC Off modes prioritize faster, more defined gear changes, while manual mode introduces more aggressive shifts above 5,500 rpm. The result is a more direct connection between throttle input and acceleration response.

Powertrain output remains unchanged, with the 6.5-liter V12 producing 725 cv and 716 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. A dedicated sound calibration increases engine presence during startup and under load.

Trim, Materials and Exterior Identification

Where the Handling Speciale configuration distinguishes itself more clearly is in its trim and detailing.

A new wheel design with a diamond-cut finish is exclusive to the package, complemented by carbon fiber side shields and matte black exhaust tips. Exterior badging is revised with a black rear Prancing Horse and satin-finished Ferrari script, replacing standard finishes with a more subdued treatment.

Inside, a dedicated plaque identifies the configuration, aligning with Ferrari’s broader approach to low-volume personalization. These elements are applied without altering the Purosangue’s proportions or overall design language.

Positioning

Handling Speciale sits as a more focused specification within the Purosangue lineup, combining measurable chassis changes with a defined visual package. The approach mirrors a broader shift toward factory-backed personalization, where trim execution and driving character are developed in parallel rather than treated separately.
