Audi USA Adds Sport Plus Packages to Q7 and Q8, Bringing S-Model Style and Performance to the Mainstream
Audi is expanding its S-model DNA into the broader lineup with new Sport plus option packages for the Q7 and Q8. Drawing heavily from the more powerful SQ7 and SQ8, these new variants blend signature S-line design and performance hardware with Audi’s efficient and tunable 3.0-liter single-turbo V6. The result is a more attainable option for buyers who want sharper handling and sportier styling without stepping up to a full V8-powered S model.
For the Q8, the Sport plus package adds $7,600 to the base price and brings a comprehensive mix of performance and visual upgrades. Key highlights include sport adaptive air suspension, 23-inch 10-spoke trapezoid wheels with summer tires, and S line exterior styling paired with black optic trim. Inside, the cabin receives SQ8-style sport seats plus with ventilation and massage functions, Crimson Red contrast stitching and seat belts, and an extended leather package accented by carbon twill matte inlays. Exterior details such as anthracite Audi rings, dark chrome exhaust tips, and red brake calipers complete the package. For those seeking a little more edge, a separate Carbon Package ($2,000) adds carbon fiber mirror housings, taillight trim, and side sill inlays.

The Q7 Prestige Sport plus package follows a similar recipe for Audi’s seven-seat flagship. Priced at $4,800 above the standard Prestige trim, it adds the S line exterior, sport adaptive air suspension, and ventilated, massaging sport seatsalso found in the SQ7 and SQ8. The interior features black optic trim and carbon twill matte inlays, while the exterior rides on 21-inch 5-double-spoke wheels in a bicolor finish—a design that traces its roots to the C7-generation RS 6 Avant. Buyers can also upgrade to 22-inch 5-arm-edge wheels in a platinum finish ($1,500), a design previously used on the SQ7.
While these packages clearly borrow from Audi’s full S models, retaining the 3.0T V6 engine gives them a different kind of appeal. The single-turbo setup delivers 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0–60 mph time of 5.5 seconds, while maintaining better fuel economy and everyday livability. For enthusiasts, the combination of S-level suspension and chassis tuning with a highly tunable powertrain promises strong long-term desirability once these models reach the used market.

For drivers who have long admired the SQ7 and SQ8 but don’t need the full power—or price tag—of the twin-turbo V8s, the new Sport plus packages deliver the best of both worlds: genuine S-car character, daily comfort, and a compelling balance of performance and value.
These new trims have quietly begun appearing in dealer inventories, even before any major launch announcements. That makes them something of a hidden gem for buyers ready to move now.
