Bugatti EB110 America SS025 Authenticated by La Maison Pur Sang
Since its launch in the early 1990s, the Bugatti EB110 has stood as one of the most celebrated supercars of its era. Now, one of its rarest derivatives, the EB110 America chassis SS025, has been meticulously authenticated by Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang program—shedding new light on its extraordinary journey.
Bugatti’s heritage and certification team pored over decades of documents, assembly records, service logs, and concours appearances to trace the car’s entire history. The result is a fully authenticated picture of originality across chassis, bodywork, powertrain, and cockpit—a badge of honor for both the marque and the car’s current custodian.

A Storied Career
Originally built as a development vehicle blending the traits of the EB110 GT and EB110 SS, chassis SS025 was transported to North America as a demonstrator. It quickly found the spotlight: gracing the cover of Robb Report, appearing at the Chicago Auto Show (1995), and earning the People’s Choice Award at Concorso Italiano.
The car’s story deepened in 2000, when it was purchased by Romano Artioli, the visionary who led Bugatti’s 1990s revival. Artioli preserved the car in France before repainting it in 2007 from its original Grigio Chiaro to the now-iconic Bugatti Blu.
From there, the EB110 America found fame in the UK. It appeared at Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace, featured on the cover of Octane, and earned screen time on The Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson in a segment celebrating the supercar icons of the decade.

A Legacy Preserved
Later acquired by Italian enthusiast Stefano Martinoli, the car became the centerpiece of a poignant reunion with Artioli himself—an encounter that highlighted the personal bond between creator and creation. In another symbolic chapter, the EB110 America stood side by side with its modern tribute, the Bugatti Centodieci, at the gates of Château Saint-Jean in Molsheim.

Certified by Molsheim
Through La Maison Pur Sang’s program, Bugatti not only confirmed SS025’s authenticity but also enriched its story with historical detail, preserving its value for generations to come. For collectors, it underscores the EB110’s status as a true icon: part grand tourer, part race-bred machine, and wholly Bugatti.
As Heritage & Certification Expert Luigi Galli explains, “Honoring tradition and heritage is, and always has been, a core tenet of Bugatti. Preserving the essence of what makes these vehicles so special is both a privilege and a responsibility.”
