This 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 represents one of approximately 1,104 examples produced across the 1995–1996 period—Porsche’s road-legal homologation model developed from the 993-generation Carrera Cup car. Built around a lightweight, two-wheel-drive shell, the RS 3.8 served as the foundation for the RSR that later competed in the BPR Global GT Series.

Chassis 390407 was completed on 11 July 1995 and delivered new to Japan through Mitsuwa Motors, the official Porsche importer. The car was collected by its first owner that September and, according to service documentation, later moved into long-term ownership near Yokohama. Recorded mileage at cataloguing stands at 48,229 kilometers.
Factory-finished in Midnight Blue Metallic, the car retains its original Black bucket seats and is optioned with air conditioning and electric windows—two features that add usability without changing the RS’s core specification. It also carries the Clubsport rear wing, a desirable component that visually and functionally connects it more closely to the Cup race cars. Additional equipment includes 18-inch RS split wheels and red brake calipers.

Power comes from the 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six with Varioram, rated at 300 horsepower and paired with a six-speed manual. Curb weight remained low at 1,270 kg. This combination, together with the model’s direct motorsport lineage, has made the RS 3.8 one of the more sought-after air-cooled Rennsport models.
This example is offered with owner’s books, warranty materials, jack, spare wheel, and a bulb and fuse kit. As a left-hand-drive car with documented history, factory Midnight Blue finish, and the Clubsport wing, it sits within a smaller subset of RS 3.8 builds. For collectors focused on air-cooled homologation models, this specification aligns closely with what enthusiasts typically track in the RS 3.8 market.
