Back in 2003, the Audi TT made an onscreen appearance in the movie Legally Blonde 2 where Reese Witherspoon’s character Elle Woods drove the car from Boston to Washington, DC in order to take a job on Capitol Hill. Specially for the appearance, Audi created a color called “Candy Blue”. Even better, they made it available for order that year (MY2024).

In period, Audi’s spokesperson Doug Clark stated, ““The Candy Blue Audi TT Roadster perfectly fits Elle’s character. Even though it is a special color designed just for the movie, we are pleased to announce that our customers are now able to order the TT Roadsters in this shade.”

More specifically, a statement by the company indicated the color was available on all engine variations. “The Audi TT Roadster is now available with 180- and 225-horse power engines. A 3.2 250-hp engine will be introduced later this year. Regardless of engine choice, the Audi Roadsters deliver high-end performance and industry-leading design expected from Audi.”

It’s unclear how many were actually ordered, but there’s no question that the color is rarely if ever seen. In this case, it’s turned up on a modestly specced TT 1.8T front-wheel drive with automatic transmission – the same spec driven by Witherspoon on screen. We’ve found it on Facebook Marketplace in Annapolis, Maryland. Though it’s showing a dent in the front quarter panel, the car appears to be in decent condition and also relatively low miles logged.
