We first spotted this particular 2018 Audi TT RS back in December when it surfaced at Manheim Imports in Pennsylvania. At the time, it appeared to be one of those cars that checks nearly every box for an Audi enthusiast: ultra-low mileage, Audi exclusive specification and one of the final generations of a model that won’t be replaced.

Now it’s back.

After apparently changing hands through the wholesale market, the car has resurfaced for sale in Arizona, though it still carries a Pennsylvania title. More importantly, it remains one of the most compelling TT RS examples we’ve seen come to market in recent memory.

Showing just 1,300 miles from new, this 8S-generation TT RS was ordered in Audi exclusive Solar Orange, a color rarely seen even among enthusiast-owned cars. The bright metallic finish is paired with the Black Optic Package, adding gloss black exterior trim, mirror housings and grille treatment that give the car an even more aggressive appearance.

Inside, the specification is equally noteworthy. Black Fine Nappa leather is accented by orange contrast stitching throughout the cabin, including the seats and floor mats. Carbon-fiber trim, suede door inserts and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster further elevate what was already one of the most focused interiors Audi produced during the model’s run.

The equipment list leaves little to be desired. Factory options include the Technology Package, Bang & Olufsen audio system, Audi Magnetic Ride, red brake calipers, heated S Sport seats, navigation, parking sensors and a rearview camera. The car also retains its original 20-inch forged seven-spoke wheels finished in high-gloss Anthracite.

Power comes from what many enthusiasts consider one of Audi’s greatest modern engines: the turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five. Factory rated at 400 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, the aluminum-block engine sends power to all four wheels through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel-drive system. A factory sport exhaust was also specified.

Performance figures remain impressive even by today’s standards. Audi quoted a 0-60 mph time of approximately 3.6 seconds, placing the TT RS firmly among the quickest sports cars of its era while retaining the distinctive soundtrack only a five-cylinder can deliver.

The odometer reading is perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this example. With only 1,300 miles accumulated over eight years, the car remains effectively new. The Yokohama tires even carry 2017 production date codes, underscoring how little use the car has seen since leaving the factory.

As enthusiasts increasingly recognize the significance of the 8S TT RS as the final gasoline-powered TT RS and potentially the last compact Audi sports car of its kind, highly specified, low-mileage examples have become increasingly difficult to find. Add Audi Exclusive paint, a matching Audi Exclusive interior and virtually delivery-mileage condition, and this Solar Orange coupe stands apart even within that already exclusive group.

For collectors seeking what may ultimately be remembered as the definitive modern TT RS, opportunities rarely come much better than this.
