Why we love it:
Based on the reaction to this car’s post on the BMW Individual Market & Discussion group on Facebook, Yas Marina Blue is a surprisingly polarizing color. Even still, it’s got strong BMW heritage having been a factory option color for the F80-generation BMW M3, and like the M2’s Zandvoort Blue, it was stylistically intended to hark the Bavarian blue tone in the trim-colore rhombus design of the BMW Motorsport M badge. Frankly, we’re fans, but it seems opinions are definitely split.
Whatever your take, the presence of a Yas Marina M5 Competition is an interesting one, because the color wasn’t offered on it. This is a special paint build from BMW Individual, and we applaud the original owner for going for a bold M3 color on the bigger Bimmer M car.
