Maturo Planning Ferrari 308 GTB Gr.4 Inspired Remaster in 2025, with Lancia 037 Also in the Works

Maturo has been making a name for itself with its Lancia Delta Integrale remasters in road-going and rally car varieties and it’s already preparing for its next act. Sicking with the Italian rally legend theme, Maturo has added a section of its website to focus on the Ferrari 308 GTB Group 4.

To those who don’t know, Group 4 is a class of rallying that ran from 1973 to 1981, predating Group B. Whereas the Ferrari 288 GTO was developed for Group B, Maranello had homologated the 308 GTB for Group 4 rallying. Maturo aims to recapture some of that magic with its focus on the Group 4, building upon what is perhaps one of the most affordable Ferrari models available.

Judging by their website (HERE), it appears they’ll offer both a street “Stradale” and “Rally” versions. That’s basically the same approach they’ve taken with the Delta Integrale. However, while their Integrales look almost like stock Delta Integrale Evolution models, the 308 GTB Group 4 Stradale appears to make use of the wider arch flares and other design cues of the 308 GTB rally car. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see though because only silhouette teaser imagery is on the site for the road car version while there are ample photos of the Rally.

On the website, Maturo describes the car:

“The truly special Ferrari 308 GTB Group 4 Michelotto engineered rally car, redeveloped to be enjoyed for street-use and thus, disguised as a high-end daily driver. The Maturo 308 Stradale specification will be developed taking the Group 4 rally car as its base, adding countless technical (re)developments and using advanced materials. Resulting in a period-correct, hugely exciting car that meets our present-day expectations.“

And if that’s not enough, we also found mention in their initial Delta Integrale press release of a plan to also perform their remastering magic on the Lancia 037, Lancia’s mid-engine answer to the Audi quattros and very early take on Group B rallying before the arrival of the all-wheel drive mid-engine Delta S4. Will that work to restore actual 037s or build well sorted replicas from Fiat Scorpion donors? We don’t know and time will tell, but that’s great news for fans of the Lancia 037.
