Porsche Introduces New Manthey Kit for 992.2 911 GT3

Porsche has unveiled a new Manthey Kit for the 992.2-generation 911 GT3, expanding its catalog of factory-approved upgrades aimed at track-day customers. Developed jointly with Manthey engineers in Meuspath, the latest package brings aerodynamic, suspension and brake revisions that yield a 6:52.981 lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife—2.756 seconds quicker than the previous GT3 Manthey configuration. The components will be sold and installed through Manthey-certified U.S. Porsche Centers and remain covered under the vehicle’s factory warranty.

At the core of the update is a focus on additional downforce without increasing drag. The underbody has been reworked into a continuous aero surface, aided by turning vanes that now span roughly 59 inches—an increase of 39 inches versus the standard car. A redesigned front lip, new front-underbody diffusers and side flaps contribute to higher front-axle load. At the rear, the wider swan-neck wing gains a Gurney flap and larger end plates, while the diffuser receives longer fins. Carbon-fiber aerodiscs at the rear wheels further streamline airflow. Depending on setup, total downforce ranges from 782 lbs. to 1,190 lbs., the latter intended solely for track conditions.

Suspension changes center on a four-way adjustable coilover system developed with Manthey. Rebound and compression can be modified without tools, and spring rates at the front axle rise by 10 percent to match the added aerodynamic load. Porsche says the result is improved stability, especially over curbing. Optional forged wheels—20-inch front, 21-inch rear—reduce unsprung mass by 13.2 lbs. Braided steel brake lines are included to enhance pedal consistency under repeated heavy braking.

Manthey also offers a selection of accessories for owners who want visual differentiation. Carbon-fiber door sills, door-projector LEDs, aero-disc decals, tow straps and additional carbon-fiber ducting are available through Porsche Centers. These items complement the appearance changes inherent to the kit while maintaining factory support.

The performance claims were validated at the Nürburgring, where reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven recorded the 6:52.981 time despite less-than-ideal track conditions. Both the new 992.2 car and its 992.1 predecessor were fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires for the comparison. A notary certified the run on site.

U.S. availability for the Manthey Kit begins in spring 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
