Porsche Showcases Sonderwunsch Stories of Personalization in New Video Series
Porsche has launched a new video series offering an inside look at its Sonderwunsch programme, the brand’s most exclusive form of personalisation. Standing for “special request” in German, Sonderwunsch allows customers to co-create unique vehicles in close collaboration with Porsche designers and engineers. The company describes the programme as “the highest form of individualisation at Porsche,” combining craftsmanship, precision, and what it calls “emotional storytelling.”
“For over 70 years, Porsche has stood for more than just sports cars,” the brand stated in introducing the series. “It has stood for dreams — and the ability to shape them.” Each project, Porsche explained, is designed to capture the individuality of the customer while reflecting the company’s design heritage.
The series shares four stories from across the globe. Italian architect and designer Luca Trazzi fulfilled a long-held dream through the programme, commissioning a one-off 993-generation 911 Speedster. The car was painted in a custom shade called “Otto Yellow,” named after his dog, and fitted with a black leather interior featuring a distinctive yellow-and-black check pattern.
From the United States, horse breeder and lifelong Porsche enthusiast Jorge Carnicero collaborated with the Sonderwunsch team to personalise a 911 S/T. His car features a bespoke “Dani Blue” exterior — named in honour of the Porsche designer who helped him shape the colour — along with a tricolour Pepita interior fabric.
In Germany, motorcycle enthusiast Sylvia Schiefer applied her passion for performance and individuality to a 911 Targa 4 GTS. Her car is finished in Agate Grey Metallic and fitted with Pure Blue leather accents, reflecting a personal vision she shares with her husband.
The series also features Dubai-based enthusiast Hadi Al Hussaini, who customised a 911 Dakar inspired by desert landscapes and off-road adventure. His creation wears an Aetna Blue exterior combined with an interior trimmed in Cohiba Brown leather and a tartan fabric in shades of Truffle Brown, Cognac, and Aurum.
Porsche said these projects embody “identity, heritage, and emotion,” underscoring what makes the Sonderwunsch programme unique. Each vehicle goes beyond being a bespoke design exercise, the brand noted, becoming a “testament to exceptional craftsmanship and the experience of becoming part of the Porsche family.”
