Q by Aston Martin Marks 60 Years of Volante with Bespoke Anniversary Editions
Aston Martin is celebrating six decades of the Volante name with a pair of highly limited, meticulously crafted drop-tops — and at the heart of it all is Q by Aston Martin, the marque’s in-house tailoring service. Known for pushing the boundaries of personalization, Q has treated the new DB12 Volante and Vanquish Volante to unique 60th Anniversary Editions that blur the line between design studio and couture atelier.
The Q touch is unmistakable. Each car is finished in a deep Pentland Green, paired with a Westminster Green hood and accented with anodised bronze details — from the vaned grille to precision-milled side strakes. Exclusive 21-inch satin bronze wheels and enamelled Q badging announce their rarity without shouting. Inside, tri-tone leathers, open-pore walnut veneers, and bronze touchpoints create a cabin that feels less like automotive trim and more like hand-stitched tailoring. Even the seatbacks carry etched anniversary motifs that nod to Volante’s heritage.

Of course, the tailoring doesn’t soften the performance edge. The Vanquish Volante delivers its 835PS V12 with unrelenting force, making it the fastest and most powerful convertible in Aston’s history, while the DB12 Volante pairs everyday usability with 680PS from its twin-turbo V8. Both models carry lightweight K-fold roofs, which open in 14 seconds, close in 16, and operate at speeds up to 31 mph — thoughtful engineering wrapped in elegance.
For Aston Martin, Volante has always meant more than open-air driving — it’s shorthand for glamour and grand touring freedom. Since the first “Short Chassis Volante” of 1965, the name has signified rarity, and the 60th Anniversary Editions continue that tradition with just 60 examples of each model to be built.

Q by Aston Martin is positioning itself less as a department and more as an in-house atelier, tailoring each car to reflect the tastes of its commissioner. For buyers, that means nearly endless options — from subtle finishes to entirely bespoke components — all crafted under the same roof as Aston Martin’s production line in Gaydon.
Deliveries of the 60th Anniversary Volante Editions begin in late 2025, but in true Q fashion, no two of these cars need be alike. For collectors and connoisseurs, this is Aston Martin at its most personal — a fusion of raw performance, heritage, and the art of bespoke tailoring.
