Rolls-Royce Introduces Coachbuild Collection with Bespoke Cars and Owner Experience
Rolls-Royce has announced a new ultra-exclusive offering called the Coachbuild Collection, combining limited-production coachbuilt cars with a multi-year ownership experience.
The program is positioned above existing bespoke services, targeting a small group of clients invited through Rolls-Royce’s global Private Office network. Each collection will consist of a limited number of cars designed entirely in-house, with no repeats planned.
Unlike traditional commissions, the Coachbuild Collection shifts creative control toward Rolls-Royce itself. The brand develops a complete design concept, which clients are invited to experience rather than direct. The approach builds on prior one-off projects such as Sweptail and Boat Tail, but formalizes the process into a structured program.
Each collection centers around a newly developed body style, fully homologated for road use. Alongside the car, participants gain access to the development process, including visits to design studios, engineering facilities, and testing locations.
The ownership component is a key part of the proposition. Rolls-Royce plans to host private events in select global destinations, as well as curated experiences with craftspeople and designers connected to the project.
The first Coachbuild Collection will be based on a fully electric platform, reflecting demand from existing Rolls-Royce EV customers. Further details on the initial design and production numbers are expected in April 2026.
The move expands Rolls-Royce’s position at the top end of the luxury market, focusing less on scale and more on exclusivity. By pairing a limited-run vehicle with an extended ownership experience, the Coachbuild Collection reframes the product as both an object and a process.
