Market Find: 960hp Audi exclusive Nogaro Blue RS 3 Sedan
Will·
When launched, it wasn't hard to draw parallels between the then-new Audi RS 3 sedan and the tuner's darling B5 generation S4. Apart from physical size, it had great aftermarket potential, solid interior quality, and was understated enough that it wouldn't cause a scene in the lot of Whole Foods.
Market Find: BMW Individual Frozen Black M3 Coupe
Will·
Special editions are always a bit of a grey area in the Tailored Driver world because to be honest, they’re usually just a ploy to move a few units with very specific options. This Frozen Black Edition M3 is the exception to the rule- just 20 were made for the US and if you wanted one, you had to call a hotline at a specific time to get it. Seriously.
Market Find: Audi exclusive Racing Blue Mica TT RS
Will·
It's been our experience that Audi TT owners are simply a different type of enthusiast. While it may be dismissed by the uninformed as a less-than, there simply is not a more dedicated, more committed, and more frankly nerdy bunch of fans out there.
Market Find: Porsche Paint to Sample Brewster Green Macan GTS
Will·
When it rains it pours, and this week Macan is in the forecast. This Tailored Driver is checking all the right boxes for us- GTS variant, Paint to Sample Brewster Green, low miles, great price. For roughly the price of a new GTI, you can be the next steward of this 360hp crossover, and you're guaranteed to have a hell of a lot more fun. Run- don't walk- to Evanston, Illinois and pick this up before we do.
Market Find: BMW Individual Signal Green M3 Sedan
Will·
Are F80-generation M3's finally starting to get... cheap? This Signal Green example has a few headwinds- 4 previous owners, 2 accidents reported (claimed), DCT, high miles, secondary cat deletes- but has even more tailwinds in the form of Euro bumpers, GTS model reprogramming for steering, transmission and differential, and upgraded cooling by CSF among others.
Market Find: Audi exclusive Imola Yellow S6 sedan
Will·
Imola Yellow isn't exactly a hue for the introverted, and by choosing a big, bright, non-metallic Yellow, we are certain the original Tailor of this S6 didn't mind standing out. The C7-generation S6 is an absolute ground pounder out of the box, and when not yellow, it blends into highway traffic quite well- so well that one was used to set a Cannonball record.
Market Find: 2015 BMW Individual Grey Black 335i Sedan
Will·
Individual builds on non-M BMW’s are uncommon for a number of reasons, so when an example shows up it’s important to take note. After all, special order vehicles generally are more of an aspirational pursuit generally reserved for the more aspirational models- think BMW M, Porsche’s 911, Audi RS, etc.
Market Find: 2015 Porsche Cayenne S e-Hybrid in Peridot Metallic
Will·
One of the best parts of Tailored Driver population is the deep research required on the more obscure finds and referrals sent to us by our dedicated readership. While newer and more common are admittedly fairly easy to decipher, the older stuff that excites us can also frustrate. Case in point is this Tailored Driver, a 2015 Porsche Cayenne S e-Hyrbid found on Facebook Marketplace.
Market Find: 2018 Audi exclusive Graphite Blue Metallic S4 Sedan
Will·
The Audi S4 is a damn fine sports sedan, and we feel it represents a fairly good value in the used car market- even when Audi exclusive paint has been applied. What's more compelling for this particular example is that of the roughly 80 pre-approved Audi exclusive hues available to customers in 2018, Graphite Blue Metallic was not one of them.
Market Find: 2013 Audi exclusive Papaya Orange Q5 hyrbid
Will·
Those memes about sending each other Facebook Marketplace listings of equal parts poor and awesome decisions at 1AM? That’s this Tailored Driver in a nut shell. Entering our radar over the weekend, this Audi exclusive Papaya Orange Q5 hybrid is the kind of thing fever dreams are made of- super rare color, weird options (tan interior and no sunroof?), and ‘needs work’ giving little context to why the price is so low.
