Bentley Unveils First Ombré Sedan with Flying Spur

Bentley has brought its most exclusive paint treatment yet to the Flying Spur, revealing the first-ever sedan to wear the marque’s intricate Ombré by Mulliner finish. The striking four-door makes its public debut at the Southampton International Boat Show this weekend, marking another milestone for the brand’s bespoke craftsmanship.

The Ombré effect, which fades seamlessly from one color to another across the length of the car, is the result of nearly 60 hours of meticulous handwork by two skilled artisans at Bentley’s Crewe “Dream Factory.” On this UK-specification Flying Spur, the gradient transitions from Topaz Blue at the nose to Windsor Blue at the rear, applied symmetrically along the doors, sills, and roof. Unlike conventional two-tone treatments, Bentley’s approach ensures a flawless visual flow without the emergence of unintended secondary colors.

Priced at £48,000 ($68,000), the Ombré option is Bentley’s most exclusive paintwork to date. Three curated palettes are available at launch—Topaz Blue to Windsor Blue, Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame, and Tungsten to Onyx—each selected to guarantee harmony and precision in the fading process. Further combinations will follow in due course, though each vehicle will remain unique due to the hands-on nature of the technique.

The Flying Spur Ombré follows in the footsteps of the Continental GT that premiered this finish at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week earlier this year. With Mulliner once again pushing the boundaries of personalization, Bentley continues to reinforce its role as a leader in blending performance, luxury, and artistry for the most discerning clients.
