One-Off Maserati MC20 Cielo “Opera d’Arte” Draws Attention at Milano AutoClassica 2025
Maserati’s MC20 Cielo “Opera d’Arte,” a one-off created through the brand’s Fuoriserie customization program, is the focal point of the 2025 Milano AutoClassica exhibition, running November 21–23 at the Fiera Milano (Rho). The car, first built in 2024 as a precursor to the new MCPURA Cielo, represents Maserati’s most extensive use of bespoke design in its current lineup.
Displayed near the ACI Storico stand, the car is being presented during a Friday talk titled “Art Car: when design meets the automobile.” The “Opera d’Arte” sits within the broader MC20 family, which evolved this year into the MCPURA range—unveiled at Goodwood and available in both coupe and convertible forms. The Cielo version continues Maserati’s positioning of the MC20 as a low-volume, high-performance flagship with growing emphasis on individualized expression.

The “Opera d’Arte” project brought Maserati Fuoriserie, Centro Stile and Maserati Engineering together for more than a year. The vehicle is entirely hand-painted in 15 colors inspired by abstract art, with the Fuoriserie team treating the MC20 Cielo’s surfaces as an open canvas. The work involved thousands of hours of labor, including laser-engraved Alcantara seats, tailored carbon-fiber elements, and a combination of painted and leather interior sections intended to emphasize the one-off nature of the build.
A second Fuoriserie creation, the MC20 “Less is More…?”, shares space with the “Opera d’Arte.” That car features Bauhaus-influenced design elements and specialized finishes. Both were produced at the renovated Officine Maserati facility in Modena.

Maserati is also using the show to highlight BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, a new initiative combining the personalization programs of Maserati and Alfa Romeo. The project is intended to serve as a collaborative hub across Italy’s extended Motor Valley, supporting bespoke builds, restorations, material research and performance development.
For Maserati, the Milano AutoClassica display underscores the role of Fuoriserie as a tool for expanding the MC20 lineup’s reach through limited, highly customized examples—positioning the “Opera d’Arte” as both a design statement and a preview of the brand’s evolving approach to individualized performance cars.
