For nearly as long as we can remember, the 964 market has been increasingly and frustratingly unobtainium. The reality is that a coupe is probably going to run you into the six figures and one in a rare paint color just adds to the pain. So, when we find a Maritime Blue example in sought-after Carrera 2 Coupe with manual transmission configuration slotting in below six figures… well… we take notice.

This one’s in Spain and is said to have “exceptional documentation”. It’s also got options listed.

139 ADJUSTABLE SEAT HEATING
340 ADJUSTABLE HEATED OF THE RIGHT SEAT
437 SEAT COMFORT IZQUIERDO ADJUSTABLE. ELÉCT.
438 SEAT COMFORT RIGHT AJUST. ELÉCT.
567 PARABRISAS TINTED GREEN WITH FRINGE GREEN
494 ADDITIONAL AMPLIFIER
650 TECHO WITH ELECTRIC REGULATION

Other strengths include an original sealed maintenance book, an archive binder with complete history of vehicle from original delivery. Since new, the seller confirms the car has had new engine gaskets with no oil leaks, complete ITV/TÜV history since 2001.

Interior is said to be in very good condition. The listing states 964 Turbo seats though they appear to be standard bolster sizes to our eye.

The exterior also seems to suggest some wear and 9/10 rating. Does that mean the paint is original? Check that if it’s an issue for you, but it appears to be so.

The listing confirms the car’s first owner was in Germany (1990-2007) at which time it moved to France (2007-2025) with a very fastidious owner who logged most details.

The suspension is not original, though we see that as a strength. It’s been upgraded to Bilstein with no further details as to the extent of that.

If you’re on the market for an affordable yet great spec 964 Coupe, this might be your car.
