The 2024 BMW M3 CS was produced for a single model year as a more focused version of the G80 M3 Competition xDrive. This example is finished in BMW Individual Frozen Solid White Metallic, shows 4,553 miles and is currently offered for $138,000.
Frozen Solid White was one of the M3 CS’s optional exterior finishes and provides considerable contrast with the exposed carbon-fiber components used throughout the car. This example also wears the CS-specific Gold Bronze Style 827M wheels and is equipped with the optional M Carbon ceramic brakes.
BMW based the M3 CS on the M3 Competition xDrive, increasing output from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter S58 inline-six to 543 hp while retaining 479 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed M Steptronic automatic sends power through the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. BMW quoted a 3.2-second 0–60 mph time and a 188-mph top speed.
The CS also received a series of weight-saving and chassis changes. Carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic was used for the hood, front splitter, front air intakes, exterior mirror caps, rear diffuser and rear spoiler, in addition to the carbon-fiber roof. Inside, BMW fitted M Carbon bucket seats and a lightweight center console. The changes reduced weight by approximately 75 pounds compared with the M3 Competition xDrive.
Additional changes included increased chassis bracing and CS-specific suspension, steering and stability-control calibration. The M Driver’s Package was standard.
The specification of this example is largely defined by its Frozen Solid White finish, exposed carbon components and Gold Bronze wheels. Red accents around the grille and elsewhere on the exterior are specific to the CS, while the interior combines Anthracite Merino leather with carbon-fiber trim and the standard M Carbon bucket seats.
When new, the 2024 M3 CS carried a U.S. base price of $118,700 before destination. Frozen Solid White added $4,500, while the M Carbon ceramic brakes were an $8,500 option.
