Color Focus: BMW Macao Blue Metallic – 250
BMW Macao Blue Metallic is a color that's only ever been standard on M cars. It debuted on the BMW M3 (type E30) in 1986, though didn't carry over to more modern M-cars until 2016 when it resurfaced as the spec color for the BMW M3 30 Jahre (type F80).

Why We Love It:

Market Find: Audi exclusive RS 6 performance Looking Good in Matte Green
Factory matte paint is always something special. More expensive than your usual paint to sample shades, it demands a certain premium up front and can prove a bit more work to maintain. Nevertheless, it almost always looks spectacular, emphasizing character lines and creases in the body that often get overlooked when coated with highly reflective gloss surfaces.

EU Market Find: Box-Flared 1991 Audi S2 C5 by ABT Sportsline
When Audi retired its iconic quattro in 1991, replacing it with the all-new S2 Coupé, the now loved 90s-era 2-door wasn't exactly well received. Sure, it had an updated version of the brand's turbocharged 20-valve 5-cylinder engine, but it was a bit heavier and... let's face it... it was missing a certain something... a je ne sais quo as the French say.
EU Market Find: Rare Saab 900 Turbo S Ruby Edition Hits Market in Netherlands
Nothing says 1980s quite like a Saab 900 Turbo. Back in the Reagan era and even then quirky, Saabs came into vogue for their unique shape, hatchback and early use of turbochargers... not to mention kitschy yet trademark three-spoke wheel designs. The Swedish brand from Trollhättan built a cult-like following, long before being purchased by GM and later shuttered by GM during the great recession.

The Audi RS 6 performance is already a compelling case, though a rare Audi exclusive color sends it over the edge. In the case of this new car inventory RS 6 from Audi Frederick in Maryland, that color is Cumulus Blue.

The M3 we didn't get, in a color we couldn't- there's a ton to like here. Sure the E36 generation's M3 was offered in the US, but to many enthusiasts (or snobs), the S52 that powered it wasn't really an M motor, just a 328i motor that'd been hot rodded a bit. Regardless of opinion, this M3 has the full-fat M3 Evo motor, and more importantly, the 6 speed manual that was specific to the Evo version.

The prospect of an "internal" car is always an interesting one. Generally ordered by a executive, a board member, or simply a department looking to get a reaction, a given brand rarely orders a vehicle without some larger purpose.
EU Market Find: Great Spec Manual Mercedes C124 E 300 Coupe
Log this car in as under the tasteful and rare factory specifications column, and maybe something you only would find in a market like Italy. Yes, it appears to be an order guide specification, but its combination an exercise in extravagance more akin to a passionate Italian than a logical German.
