EU Market Find: 1998 Evergreen on Green BMW Z3 M Roadster
This isn’t a paint to sample BMW Individual specimen, nor is it technically a variant North America never received. Even still, we find a low mileage Evergreen on green BMW Z3 M Roadster like this noteworthy enough for a mention.
EU Market Find: Ex-Factory Porsche 993 Targa in Blue Turquoise plus MT6 in Belgium
In the lexicon of air-cooled Porsche 911s, the 993 Targa is both obscure and hard to find. By the final air-cooled type 993 generation, Porsche had ditched the full-width open top with roll hoop-style design it had pioneered throughout F-body, G-body and 964 generations, replacing them with a more livable (and heavier) glass panorama-style panel that slide back underneath the rear window glass. It's a design that would stick around through 996 and 997 generations. During the 993 generation, it wasn't terribly popular, making it a rare find today. Now add a very rare paint color and you have a very unique find indeed.
Market Find: 2019 Audi exclusive Aetna Blue S5 Sportback
Believed to be identical to Porsche Aetna Blue that dates back to the 356 era, a quick Googling will show that Audi exclusive has built a small number of cars in this color over the last few years. The owner/seller of this car reports, in this case, it is 1 of 1 and thus apparently the only 2019 Audi S5 Sportback built to this color... at least in this year.
Market Find: Ginster Yellow Volkswagen Golf R Spektrum
At this point we suspect our readers are familiar with the Volkswagen Golf R Spektrum series from 2019. In short, 40 different colors were chosen, built, and subsequently sold through the U.S. and Canada. Of those, Ginster Yellow was chosen to hark the 1997 Driver’s Edition GTI (Mk3).
Market Find: Gulf Racing Themed 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Sometimes the whole Gulf Racing thing can go a little overboard. It get's done, and it get's done a lot, but doesn't always work... a little too ambitiously racey for a road car. The 911 GT3 RS though, it's already got heavy racecar feel to it anyway, and those aerodynamics functional. So, spec in Gulf Blue with Weissach Package, orange stitching and orange graphics and fight the urge to logo it up and we'd argue this is one of the cooler livery-inspired 992 GT3 RS specifications we've seen.
Market Find: 2014 Audi exclusive Velvet Purple Pearl Effect RS 7
Will·
Not to be confused with the more prevalent and very similar Audi exclusive Merlin Purple Metallic, this Tailored Driver is finished in the slightly darker, more subdued Audi exclusive Velvet Purple Pearl, giving it a cool factor that goes beyond the fact that it happens to be applied to an RS 7.
Market Find: Grinch-Colored Porsche 911 Targa 4S Just in Time for Holidays
Okay, here's the deal. We don't always love them all, but we also recognize that polarizing specifications are often a matter of taste... or maybe acquired taste. So while we're greatly entertained by Instagram accounts like @worstspec on Instagram, we're not going to go so far as to jeer something outright.
Market Find: Berry Pearl Audi RS 6 performance
If you're into wagons in a very different colors that will command a ton of attention, skip the line for Audi exclusive and head to Kearns Motor Cars in Wisconsin for this MY2024 Audi RS 6 Avant performance. Painted Berry Pearl Effect, it's a very noticeable deep pink in the vein of a Porsche Ruby Star, but pearlescent so appearing at a depth that Ruby Star just doesn't do.
Market Find: 2024 Porsche Paint to Sample Smyrna Green 718 Spyder RS
Will·
We're seeing quite the resurgence in Porsche's Paint to Sample Smyrna Green, and to be honest, we don't hate it. In this instance, we can clearly see the lineage between the 356 that Porsche first applied Smyrna to, and the 718 Spyder RS, and we've never been shy about loving a tribute.
European Market Find: 2000 BMW Individual Carbon Black Metallic 328i Sedan with Individual Arizona Sky Leather
Will·
Yes, in just a few days we'll be 25-year survivors of the Y2K panic. And while our computers didn't all self-destruct when asked to display '00' in a date window, the cars coming out of German and Japan were equally exciting- just in a much more controlled, less stressful way.
