Lamborghini has revived its Tricolore theme for the first time in 15 years, applying the Italian-inspired treatment to a bespoke Temerario unveiled during Monterey Car Week. Created by Lamborghini Centro Stile in collaboration with the Ad Personam personalization program, the Temerario Tricolore made its debut at The Quail alongside the new Revuelto SV.
The Tricolore designation was last used on the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore in 2011, a special edition created to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Italian unification. Rather than recreating that car’s treatment, Lamborghini has used the new Temerario as a showcase for the considerably broader personalization capabilities now available through Ad Personam, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026.
The exterior uses a two-tone combination of Blu Marinus Shiny and Bianco Monocerus. Blue covers the lower portion of the body, while white extends across the upper surfaces, including portions of the doors and fenders. Gloss Nero Noctis is used for the mirrors, wheels, engine cover and other details, with red brake calipers adding another contrasting element.
The direct reference to the Tricolore name appears on the hood, where a green, white and red graphic represents the colors of the Italian flag. It is a relatively small element within a much more elaborate color and material specification rather than the prominent longitudinal stripe used by the Gallardo Tricolore.
Inside, Lamborghini continues the theme with Nero Ade upholstery and Rosso Alala contrast stitching. Tricolore lettering is embroidered into the door panels, while a bespoke silhouette of the Temerario appears on the rear cabin trim. Lamborghini’s recurring hexagonal graphic is also incorporated throughout the interior.
The car follows two Ad Personam Temerario configurations shown at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed and serves primarily as another demonstration of what Lamborghini can produce through the factory personalization program. Ad Personam now extends well beyond selecting paint, upholstery and stitching, allowing customers to work with the manufacturer on more extensively coordinated exterior and interior treatments.
Mechanically, the Tricolore remains a standard Temerario. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 works with three electric motors to produce a combined 920 CV. The V8 can rev to 10,000 rpm, while Lamborghini quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 340 km/h.
While the original Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore was conceived as a specific commemorative model, the Temerario Tricolore is better understood as a bespoke configuration and demonstration of Lamborghini’s current personalization capabilities. Fifteen years after the original, the Italian colors return on a very different kind of Lamborghini and during the 20th anniversary year of the program responsible for creating it.
