One of 55 Carrera RS 3.8 examples produced, this car is believed to be the only one finished in paint-to-sample Zermatt Silver Metallic. The understated color distinguishes an already rare model, paired here with black leather and factory bucket seats.
Developed to homologate the 3.8 RSR racing car, the RS 3.8 combined widebody coachwork, a substantial rear wing and lightweight construction with a 300-horsepower flat-six. This example retains its original 18-inch wheels, 92-liter fuel tank and matching-numbers engine and gearbox.
Completed on September 1, 1993, it was delivered to Spain and has remained with its original owner. Its recorded mileage is 10,210 kilometers, with delivery correspondence documenting the specification.
RM Sotheby’s recommends inspection and mechanical recommissioning before road use because of its limited use. UK registration is underway, and the auction house notes that delivery of the V5C may be delayed after the sale.
