Porsche Celebrates 15 Years in Moldova with One-Off 911 GT3 Touring ‘Tree of Life’

Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division has unveiled one of its most intricate recent creations, a bespoke 911 GT3 with Touring Package commissioned to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Porsche Moldova.

Known as the “Tree of Life,” the one-off sports car draws inspiration from one of Moldova’s most recognizable cultural symbols. Developed in collaboration between Porsche Moldova, Style Porsche and the Sonderwunsch team in Zuffenhausen, the project transforms a 911 GT3 Touring into a rolling tribute to the country’s heritage, traditions and continued growth.

At first glance, the car’s most striking feature is its extraordinary paintwork. The body transitions from Violapurplemetallic at the front to Chromaflair Magic Magenta at the rear, creating a complex gradient inspired by the various stages of grape ripening and Moldova’s longstanding winemaking culture. Extending the theme further, the 20- and 21-inch magnesium wheels receive matching gradient finishes that mirror the bodywork.

The centerpiece of the exterior is a hand-painted Tree of Life graphic finished in Neodyme Porsche Gold. Stretching across the front luggage compartment lid and roof, the artwork sits atop the already complicated multi-layer paint finish. Porsche says the coordination of the paint layers and hand-painted graphics required approximately 400 hours of craftsmanship to complete.

A subtle tribute to the country appears in the front grille, where the letter “M” has been precisely etched into the metal structure as a signature of Moldova.

Inside, the cultural narrative continues through a carefully curated combination of materials and colors. Lila leather is paired with Ruby Star Neo accents, Atacama Beige contrast stitching and a modern interpretation of Porsche’s iconic Pasha fabric pattern. The material appears on the seat centers, door panels, glove compartment and luggage compartment surfaces.

The traditional influences extend to Paldao wood trim elements used throughout the cabin. The manual transmission gear lever features a wood-finished knob, while decorative wood inlays are integrated into the backs of the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus. Together, the materials reference both Moldova’s natural landscape and its long-standing craft traditions.

While the design tells a story, the underlying vehicle remains one of Porsche’s most focused driver’s cars. The project is based on the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package, combining the GT3’s naturally aspirated performance credentials with a more understated appearance that omits the model’s fixed rear wing.

According to Porsche Central and Eastern Europe CEO Michael Kirsch, the project was intended to demonstrate what is possible through the Sonderwunsch program when a specific vision is paired with Porsche’s highest level of customization.

The car was revealed at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chișinău, where it will remain on display as part of a dedicated exhibition before later moving to Porsche Centre Moldova.

For Porsche, the Tree of Life serves as more than an anniversary celebration. It also showcases the growing capabilities of Sonderwunsch, the brand’s most exclusive individualization program. Beyond bespoke colors and interior trim, the department is capable of creating highly personalized design concepts and technically unique one-off vehicles developed directly alongside Porsche designers and engineers in Zuffenhausen.

The result is a GT3 Touring unlike any other—one that combines modern Porsche performance with a uniquely Moldovan story told through color, craftsmanship and hundreds of hours of hand-finished detail.
