Market Find: First 911 S/T We Found for Sale. Successful Circumnavigation of the Lease?
We haven't had a Porsche 911 S/T on the site yet. The reason why is simple. Getting an allotment was nigh impossible unless you were a Porsche highly regular, and even those were leased to all American buyers for a year assuring they wouldn't end up in flip mode. The same was the case for Canada, or so we thought.
Market Find: 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Ice Grey Metallic
When it comes to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Ice Grey Metallic was a launch color that’s deemed a Special Color in the order books and one for which you’d pay a premium. Does that make it tailored? Well, we’d say that’s borderline but we’ll let it pass on a car as rare as the GT3 RS and in such a well-executed factory specification.
Market Find: Will this Salvage Title Viola Metallic Porsche 911 GT3 Touring be a Bargain?
Are there any performance bargains in the Porsche 911 GT-car space? This paint to sample Viola Metallic 2022 911 GT3 Touring may be the indicator you're looking for. With gold wheels and light Linen Grey interior, it's definitely a unique specimen.
Market Find: TAG Turbo “AP87” in Mint Green as Broad Arrow Private Sale
One of the more fascinating and certainly the more storied in the Porsche 911 remastering game must certainly be Lanzante and their Porsche 911 TAG Turbos. After acquiring a bulk of former TAG Turbo F1 racing engines developed by Porsche for McLaren, the firm set about building a series of only eleven Porsche 911 Turbos fitted with them. In doing so, they created the ultimate tribute inspired by the one-off Porsche TAG Turbo test car built by Porsche's own R&D department.
EU Market Find: Rare Green-on-Green 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa
While the Porsche 911 964 generation was definitely sold in the United States, the last of the primarily hand built and upright headlight air-cooled 911s has become a rare and valuable commodity thanks to the likes of Singer and RWB conversions. Given that, seeking out cars in Europe can not only net more selection, it can also pay a bonus with rare specifications most American buyers weren't likely to order. We think this green-on-green 1991 911 Carrera 2 Targa qualifies.
Market Find: Paint to Sample Sepia Brown Porsche 911 Targa 4S
Will·
The next owner of this Tailored Driver has to really love brown. While we've played around with Porsche's Paint to Sample configurator and toyed with the idea of Sepia Brown, we've yet to see someone take the plunge. Perhaps because it's a non-metallic, meaning it's a LOT of brown.
Speed Yellow Porsche 964 Carrera RS 3.8 Hits RM’s Private Sales Department
Unlike the much more common Porsche 911 Carrera RS of the 964 era, the 911 Carrera RS 3.8 is an actual homologation special. Okay, technically the “plain” Carrera RS boasted a lot of changes consistent with the then-current Carrera Cup series, but the 911 Carrera RS 3.8 was built literally to homologate the car for international GT racing requirements.
Porsche and RM Sotheby’s 911 S/T Auction Raises $1 Million for American Red Cross
All proceeds to support American Red Cross disaster relief efforts, including those for the California wildfires.
Market Find: Porsche Paint to Sample Venetian Blue Metallic 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet
Will·
This 997 is finished in Porsche's Venetian Blue Metallic, a medium blue-ish grey with deep roots in the G body era of 911s, which we simply do not see very often. Perhaps a byproduct of the G body's underappreciation until very recent times, we can't really blame any Tailors for simply overlooking Venetian- it's not the brightest, the most vibrant, and nor the most legendary of Porsche's secret menu.
Adriatic Blue Ruf CTR2 993 Headed for Gooding Amelia Island Sale
Ruf placed itself decidedly on the performance car map in 1987 when its twin-turbocharged CTR dubbed "Yellowbird" showed up and dominated Road & Track's Top Speed Shootout, besting the likes of the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach and Porsche 959. Then, in 1995, it launched a credible successor to the Yellowbird when it debuted the 993-based CTR2.
