This 997 is finished in Porsche's Venetian Blue Metallic, a medium blue-ish grey with deep roots in the G body era of 911s, which we simply do not see very often. Perhaps a byproduct of the G body's underappreciation until very recent times, we can't really blame any Tailors for simply overlooking Venetian- it's not the brightest, the most vibrant, and nor the most legendary of Porsche's secret menu.

Ruf placed itself decidedly on the performance car map in 1987 when its twin-turbocharged CTR dubbed "Yellowbird" showed up and dominated Road & Track's Top Speed Shootout, besting the likes of the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach and Porsche 959. Of those, it’s the only example produced in Riviera Blue with Clubsport aerodynamics and black leatherette interior with Grey seat centers and Riviera Blue accents from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
