BMW Individual wasn't exactly widely utilized in the late 1990s. Sure, M-cars of that period with special paint aren't all that rare, but being found on other more "normal" cars like a 528i sedan is less likely.

I'm not quite sure what exactly it was about Audi exclusive Velvet Purple, but it certainly either has or is currently having a moment. This may come as a surprise- it certainly did to us- but Purple is the most popular Audi exclusive color we've seen when factoring both Merlin and Velvet.
1999 Lotus Elise S John Player Heritage Special Edition
Though it was never sold in the USA, the earliest Lotus Elise S1 is now available for import, as are special editions like this Heritage (a.k.a. 79 edition) that plays heavily on the black and gold of the John Player Special livery worn by Lotus F1 in 1978 when they won the driver and constructors championships.
